Carp fishing at lykkesø
At LykkeSø, the goal is to become one of the best paying waters in Denmark when it comes to pure carp fishing. The goal is simple, but the road is long – especially when competing against public and private lakes where free-range carp have been present for decades.
The carp in LykkeSø are purchased from foreign carp breeders.
We only release carp purchased through our foreign supplier to safeguard against disease and to avoid any doubt about the ownership of our carp. LykkeSø is an approved importer of carp (Cyprinus carpio) from all over Europe.
What gear is required
The list of gear to bring on a carp trip can be endless. Some gear is more necessary than others. If you own a pair of rods and reels designed for carp fishing, along with bite detectors, leaders and rigs, you’ve come a long way. At LykkeSø you can borrow a cradle, weighing sling and net. You can buy feed and bait for rigs from us, however, the selection is limited.
If you are staying overnight, we recommend that you bring a tent or similar. Alternatively, you can spend the night in our shelters, which are free to use at the southern end of the lake.
